Mango loves to sit on the heat vents. We have one of those modern efficient furnaces that
supposedly saves you money, but the downside is that it sounds like there is a jumbo jet taking off
in your basement. As soon as the cat hears the furnace go on she runs to the heat vents.
Mango tries to steal your warm spots once you get up. She loves this fleece I have and
once covered, she will sleep soundly for hours. This is great because if she isn't in the sun or on the
heat vent she is meowing *constantly* for attention.
Mango's favourite spot is in the sun. She will spend the whole day watching imaginary
things outside the window and clean herself in the sun. She will follow the sun around the house, and
if there is a cloudy day she becomes upset and meows endlessly ...
When there is no sun, no heat vents and no warm spots to steal, the best thing to do
is put towels in the dryer for 5 minutes. Once she hears the dryer go on she will meow beside it until
you take out the towels. You have to put towels in before you do laundry, otherwise she will meow
until the laundry is out of the dryer! She also loves to sit with you, but will run to another heat
source once she knows it is there.
